Most of my work is characterized by soft, muted colors, and in my opinion, there is nothing more classic or timeless than a creamy white onesie & a sleepy baby snuggled soundly on your chest. For older siblings and parents, this guide will direct you to options that photograph well with my work aesthetic.

For in home sessions, a tight-fitting, solid colored onesie works well for baby as they photograph well in this setting, but your are welcome to incorporate heirloom pieces or other outfits that suit your preference.
I will bring swaddles with me to the session; most of my swaddles are GH Hurt. They are an absolutely beautiful brand.
Parents and siblings (even fur siblings) are a huge part of a lifestyle session. Be prepared to be in the picture.

Never under estimate the power of plain; keep it simple & focus on the baby & your love for this new person in your life.
SIMPLE
In my experience, light, neutral colored clothing photographs best. When purchasing rompers, diaper covers, and custom onesies lighter tones such as grays, creams, whites, and ivory & taupes work very well.
For siblings, a neutral colored top (no designs or characters) with a nice fitting pair of jeans work well. For girls, dresses are a great option or a tunic and tights also work. While shoes help to tie an outfit together, for these sessions, bare feet are acceptable and often preferred for younger children and toddlers.

We want to be intentional in styling. In most cases, outfits are purchased specifically for photos, so choose something that fits well. The aim is to create a tailored look.
Most of us do not feel camera ready right after delivery, but remember that you will be so glad you have these images many years from now. Maxi dresses are flattering on every body type and are a great option for moms post-delivery.
FIT
Timeless always has a place; simple + chic. A plain white lace dress with a simple bow. A simple diaper cover. Jeans and a henley. These pieces will always stand the test of time, and will never go out of style.
SIBLINGS
Motherhood is something near and dear to my heart, so capturing it is something I absolutely LOVE to do. Additionally, if your babe is having an 'off' day, moms make a great prop and can often positively control the outcome of a session.
